Steve grew up in Ames and Sioux City, IA. He earned a Degree from Iowa State University in Finance and went on to work for Monfort in the early 90’s. He then moved to Sioux City to take a position with IBP in 1993 where he worked as an Account Manager in retail pork sales for the North Eastern United States. Then, he took on the position of Sales Manager for The Iowa Packing Company in 1996. During his eight plus years at IPC, he developed numerous retail and foodservice labels in an effort to flatten company’s customer base. In 2005, Steve started the position of Purchasing Manager and Sales Manager for Midwest Premier Foods. Additionally, he worked with Ankeny Cold Storage as a production scheduler for all processing of retail and food service pork and beef products. Currently, Steve works as a Sales Manager for Midwest Premier and MPF LLC, developing new product and services for the processing company. His knowledge of butcher, sow and boar products and their specific uses and values can be of assistance to both domestic and international buyers.
